Slow Cooker Teriyaki Steaks are cooked low and slow in a homemade teriyaki sauce made with soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. The result is tender, flavorful beef and a rich sauce that's perfect for spooning over your favorite side.
Add the steaks to the slow cooker. Add the brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
In a small bowl, whisk together the water and corn starch. Pour over everything in the slow cooker.
Mix everything together, I do this by flipping over the steaks into the sauce.
Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 5 hours.
Serve with your desired sides, topped with green onion and toasted sesame seeds.

Notes
If you want to use regular soy sauce (not low sodium), substitute 1/4 cup of it with water. If your sauce isn't thick enough, add another cornstarch slurry and let it cook 10 minutes more on high. For the best safety practices, I recommend not using frozen steaks in this recipe.
